Holcomb Youth Hall of Fame Award
In 1997, Bob and Billie Holcomb created the Holcomb Youth Hall of Fame Award Fund. A significant monetary reward is given once or twice each year to a young person aged eight to eighteen living in Benton County who has demonstrated exceptional acts of courage, bravery and/or altruism by his or her personal actions. Although the award is primarily meant to reward acts of courage or bravery, in appropriate cases when funds allow, it can be awarded for exceptional acts of altruism. Originally, the amount given to each recipient was $3,000 but in 2005 the award was increased to $4,000.
