Honoring our friend Mario Pastega
December 16, 1916 – January 20, 2012
“One hundred years from now, it won’t matter how much wealth we had or how much fame or prestige. But, if along our path of life we gave a helping hand to fellow human beings, it will make a difference.”

Benton County’s “Community Foundation”

The Benton County Foundation began in 1953 as a community foundation. Our mission is to build community philanthropy by establishing endowments, prudently investing the funds received, and distributing a portion of the fund value each year to benefit our youth and community. The Foundation provides a community service in Corvallis, Philomath, Monroe, Alsea, North Albany, Adair Village and throughout Benton County by managing over 220 endowments for individuals, families and organizations. The Foundation approved distributions totaling $500,000 in 2011 to support local non-profit agencies and student scholarships!
