Creating a New Endowment Fund
According to the Council on Foundations, “Community Foundations are tax-exempt public charities created by and for the people in a local area. They enable people with philanthropic interests to easily and effectively support the issues that they care about – immediately or through their wills.”
It is easy to create a permanent charitable fund with the Benton County Foundation. You may chose to create a “Dedicated Endowment” for nonprofit groups you want to support. You may prefer to contribute to the “Community Fund” and leave the distribution decisions to the Foundation’s Board of Directors. Or you may wish to create an annual scholarship that supports education opportunities for our local youth. For your reference, a sample “deed of gift” (your instructions that guides the Foundation) is provided under “Investment Information” on our website – www.bentoncountyfoundation.org.
The Benton County Foundation is a local organization – a community foundation – that has deeps roots in our community. We provide a personalized service to help create, manage, and build endowment funds that benefit our youth and community forever and help you to create a personal legacy.
If you would like to discuss creating an endowment fund, please give the Foundation a call.
